Does a transmission have to be shipped to a repair facility or a business when purchased?


BestBuy Transmission offers free shipping to any US state with exception of Hawai and Alaska at no additional cost if it goes to a Commerical Address. Transmissions can also be shipped to a Residential Address for a fee of $75. Please be advised that in some remote areas of the country additional fees may apply.




Does Bestbuy Transmisison offer express shipping?


BestBuy Transmission does not have an express option to expedite purchased transmission to its customers. All shipments go via ground freight and have an average shipping time frame of 7-10 business days. Shipment and manufacturing delays may occur, but Bestbuy Transmission will take every step to keep our customers informed.




Does BestBuy Transmission provide a way for me to track my transmission shipment?


BestBuy Transmission' will provide you a tracking number once it becomes available to them. Transmissions need to leave our facility and be checked in at the carrier's terminal before we are provided the tracking number. Once the tracking number is provided by the carriers an email will be sent to our customers with a link to track it as it.




What shipping carriers does BestBuy Transmission use?


BestBuyTransmission has an array of relationships with several freight carriers to be able to provide service to all of the US.(Excluding Alaska and Hawai)

Core Return FAQs

Does BestBuy Transmission charge a core fee and do they require a core to be returned?


BestBuy Transmission does not charge it's customers a core fee for most of the transmission. Transmissions that have a core fee are clearly marked and all core fees are refunded once a matching transmission is received back to our facility. All customers are required to return the matching core from their vehicle as part of the online purchase and warranty agreement. If you do not have a core our core buy out program is available. In all cases, BestBuy Transmission would prefer to receive the core than have a customer buy it out.




How long do BestBuy Tranmsmission customer have to return a core?


Every BestBuy Transmission customer is given 14 days from receiving the transmission to schedule the transmission core picked up. BestBuy Transmission understands that sometimes extensions are needed. Up to a 2 week grace period can be given if the customer requests it. If a customer needs to go over 30 days, a core deposit will be required. All core deposits will be returned as soon as the transmission core is returned to our facility and checked in.




Can I still purchase from BestBuy Transmission I do not have a core or it is damaged?


Many customers purchase from BestBuy Transmission even if they do not have a qualifying core to return. BestBuy Transmission has a core buyout program designed for these customers. When purchasing a transmission just advise your sales agent and they will discuss your options.




Does BestBuy Transmission pay for the core return and how do I get one scheduled?


For the convenience of BestBuy Transmission customers, BestBuy Transmission staff will work with our customers to coordinate the return of their cores. To schedule, a core return, it is as simple as 1-2-3. Click on the core returns button located on every page of the BestBuy Transmission website and fill out the form. Once the form is received by the BestBuy Transmission staff they will arrange for the transmission to be picked up. A shipping document will be sent via email and that will allow the transmission to be released to the carrier.
